First competition of PocketQube satellite prototypes in the world
2SPACE team together with the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest organised the first competition of PocketQube satellite prototypes in the world, with the purpose to engage as many high school students passionate about space as possible, to be helped and guided in order to succeed in a still small field in Romania.
The students, the coordinating professors and the people from the national space field were delighted with the initiative, and the workshop part was a unique experience for both the team and the participants.
The competition represents a one of a kind opportunity for young people in Romania who are passionate about a field that is in constant development. Considering the success enjoyed within the event’s first edition, 2SPACE team hopes that this competition will become a tradition both for the association and for the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest, in an attempt to increase the interest of young pupils and students, but also of future generations in the aerospace field.

Daniel Rosner is a lecturer at the POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest, within the Computers department, specialising in hardware design and portable electronic devices, being the coordinator of CISL41 Robotics and the Applied Electronics Laboratory. Daniel coordinates the national accelerator program for technical startups Innovation Labs and has extensive experience in coordinating university teams. In 2016, the ENTy team, under his guidance, won 1st place at the international stage of the Microsoft Imagine Cup, Seattle, USA.

Marius Enachescu had his master's thesis in microelectronics at the Politehnica University of Bucharest and his doctorate in computer engineering at Delft University of Technology. He is currently a university assistant at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology of the Politehnica University of Bucharest. His current research focuses on emerging nano-device computing, design and implementation of low-power, low-cost analog and mixed-signal systems, and signal-conditioned circuits for sensor-based systems. Received the HiPEAC Industrial PhD Scholarship in Power Supply Network Modeling and Analysis. He is a member of the HiPEAC Network of Excellence and a graduate member of IEEE.

Cristian Constantinescu is head of thesis research at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest. His main concerns are in the field of avionics (sensors, navigation, on-board networks), control of air vehicles (his PhD thesis is in the field of control of space launchers) and applications of programming languages ​​in engineering. He is the owner of the Satellite Systems and Subsystems course. He is a member of the Royal Institute of Navigation.

Cătălin is the leader of the 2Space student team within the CAMPUS Center of the POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest and a student of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. Passionate about rockets, Cătălin is a member of the Romanian National Model Rocket Team, in which he won multiple medals at international competitions. In 2019, he was decorated by the Minister of Youth and Sports with the title of Master of Sport in Rocket Modeling, since then he has been constantly concerned with promoting the aerospace field among young people.

Ștefan Costea is a young technology enthusiast, graduate of UPB and current employee of POLITEHNICA University in Bucharest. Ștefan has a lot of experience in the field of volunteering; among the most important projects is the Robochallenge - the place where the best of the participants will end up. He now deals with the promotion of the university, gets involved in international projects, but also helps to organize and develop internal projects/activities within UPB.

Mihnea Alexandru MOISESCU, professor, doctoral coordinator at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science Engineering, currently dean of this faculty. Mihnea Alexandru MOISESCU has a degree in Automation and Computers. In Science he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biophysics, a Master of Science degree in Biophysics and a PhD in Systems Engineering. He specialises in the fields of: Advanced Robotics, Advanced Communication Systems. He is the author of more than 80 research papers in International Engineering, Conferences and Congresses and 13 research papers in international journals indexed in Web of Science. His research experience includes participation and management of more than 18 national and 4 international projects.
